Men are proud of their sexual exploits. That’s why we brag about them like idiots. However, during the actual act, some guys are much more uptight than they let on—sometimes uptight enough that they fail to really enjoy the experience. Here’s a look at some common reasons for male self-consciousness during sex, and what you can do to boost a nervous guy’s ego.
Wondering if a guy has long term potential? Chances are he’s sending you blatant signals as to whether his “light is on” or not.
Ah, first dates. So nerve-wracking. If only you knew exactly what was going to happen, then you could plan out everything in advance. But first dates are kind of like playing the lottery. You gotta be in it to win it, but sometimes you end up empty-handed. If you’re a woman, you know these sort of situations don’t always go so smoothly. If you’re a guy, here are 10 tips that can make the first date easier on all of us.
I’ve learned a few things about love in my time here on Earth, and one of them is that relationships built on sex usually don’t last. First, no matter how cool she is, no matter how good-looking she is and no matter how much you dig her, there is someone out there who is sick of her. Second, there is a very good chance that when a guy begins drifting away from a lady, he’s just sick of boning her.
The year’s best date movies. We had to see them in theaters. Now, as these movies are slated to start appearing on DVD, we’re itching to watch them again, this time cozied up on the couch with our best guy or gal. Check out our list and tell us what films we may have missed.
Tiger Woods recently blew the public’s image of him as a squeaky-clean “good guy” by admitting that he’s cheated on his wife Elin. While we’re usually not too surprised when rich and famous men have affairs, there have been a few fellas whose unfaithful ways we never saw coming.
1. David Letterman – The late night funnyman was never really the subject of tabloid fodder, and he was never exactly a sex symbol. So with a wife and young son at home—and a new lease on life some years after having heart surgery—we were astounded to discover that he had fooled around with a former assistant.
2. Brad Pitt – When Brad married Jennifer Aniston, it was like the celeb world equivalent of the football captain marrying the prom queen. They were America’s sweethearts, so when we learned that Brad was sneaking around on Jen with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie (the “girl who smokes behind the bleachers”), our collective heart broke for our favorite Friend. And Brad found himself tossed off a lot of “sexy” lists.
Are you bothered that your boyfriend still lives with his mom and dad? Uncovering the hidden perks of dating a guy who lives with his parents (hint: clean laundry!).
The potential of a rough-edged woman and a quirky guy might keep us tuning in to ‘Scrubs.’
The first time I met him, I thought my now-boyfriend was a really cool guy, and I hoped we would become friends. Now, this man is not only boyfriend—he is my closest friend now, too, the one who knows everything about what goes on with my family, what goes on at work, what weird dreams woke me up in the middle of the night. And I’m not entirely sure that’s a good thing.
If you search the Internet, read magazines or go to the movies you'll see dozens, if not hundreds, of stories about how a woman feels when her man has sex with another woman. Yet, you almost never hear similar stories from the male point of view. Men are supposed to be tough, so they often don't talk about how they feel when their partner opens herself up for another man.
That's why we decided to seek out men whose wives had strayed, and find out how they reacted. We’ve gotten a variety of responses we'd like to share with you. Most of them felt hurt and betrayed, and some were upset even when they'd discussed the idea of her having an affair and “cuckolding” him in advance.
Interestingly, when asked what concerned them the most, not one of them said they were worried about accidentally raising another man's baby – even though popular culture would have you believe that is the number one concern. Instead, all of them said the possibility of getting an STD was there biggest concern. Now, we are going to provide you – in their own words – the feelings men went through when they discovered they were not the only one.
“Dan” found out his fiancée was cheating on him when a friend confronted him with the fact. He did some investigating and discovered “she'd been sleeping with about a dozen other guys for the duration of our relationship. “
Dan says he was devastated and couldn't look at her the same way again.
“She'd lied to me constantly. I'd been ready to marry her, and it turned out her true personality was the exact opposite of what I'd thought.”
He also says that he doesn't think he was at fault in any way, shape or form for his girl looking for others.
“It was all her. She'd set out to deliberately deceive me right from the start. She coldly and deliberately lied to me about every aspect of our relationship and presented a completely false persona. I was utterly devastated. I seriously considered suicide, and my weight dropped to under 125 pounds – I'm over six foot tall. It rocked my confidence for years afterward.”
Dan also said he didn't have any reason to think she was cheating before he found out.
“We had a very active sex life, were always very affectionate and rarely argued. She was occasionally secretive, but she'd always been like that.”
“John” had similar feelings when he found out that his wife was cheating on him. In this case, she left her laptop turned on with MSN Messenger still logged in – and his wife's lover came on and wanted to talk to her!
“I'd had suspicions so it wasn't a total shock, but it still left me feeling like I'd been kicked in the guts. I screamed a lot, cried a lot & felt very lethargic.
“It was entirely her fault. If she had a problem with our relationship, then she should have acted like an adult and spoken to me about it.“
John says that the idea that men are hurt less by cheating is a myth.
“It's just that men generally don't talk about it. I wasn't able to just shrug it off and move on no matter how much I tried. It hurt more than words can describe and I was very devastated.”
He does, however, admit that he should have caught on sooner.
“I'd had suspicions so it wasn't a total shock. There were a couple of signs. Her being secretive when online, being distant one minute than overly affectionate the next. I suspected something was going on but ignored it.”
Of course, it's not always a surprise. “Steve” agreed to let his wife have an affair and actually drove her to meet her lover.
“My wife and I got married four years ago, after having been together for about three years prior to that point. Two years ago, she met a guy via World of Warcraft and broached the topic of having an open relationship (in the sense of being able to have a committed SO outside of our marriage, not casual sex). At the time, the guy she was interested in was also married, and living in Utah, so the potential of anything actually resulting from her dating him seemed rather remote.
“So my wife dated him for a while, but it was strictly online and on the phone. He never told his wife about it, and after a few months he started getting more and more distant before breaking it off.
“A few months after that, my wife met another guy (via World of Warcraft again), a younger one who was still in school. He lived much closer to us (only about a five-hour drive), and after they were dating a few months online she arranged to spend a weekend with him in a hotel room. I had to drive her up there to be with him. She has been with that guy for over a year now, and I've driven her up twice to spend weekends with him.”
While Steve thought it would just be a turn on, he was surprised when other emotions entered the mix.
“At first, (I felt) jealousy with a bit of anger. In the time afterward, jealousy with eroticism. Jealousy that she would have sex with him in ways that she wouldn't with me, would let him do things and let him be completely dominant.”
Still, Steve admits that he's happy he's still with his wife and doesn't regret their relationship at all.
“I've had to sort of compartmentalize our relationship. There's my relationship with my wife, and she is lovely and we get along great and I love being with her and having great sex with her. Then there's her relationship with her boyfriend, where she's the horny sub who will do anything he wants. I have to sort of block that part out or push it aside or at least try not to let that part overshadow the main part, that I'm married to and in love with a beautiful, wonderful girl.”

As you likely know, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen (now just Tiffani Thiessen, I reckon) married a guy named Brady Smith back in 2005 and now she is pregnant. In Hollyweird you’re not really taken until you have a kid or have been together for 12 years together, so this kid news is pretty devastating to a lot of us. It has me recalling all of my big-time TV crushes and what they mean to me. Featuring Winnie Cooper, Kelly Kapowski, Joey Potter and Margene Henrickson.
According to a recent study, it takes the average guy seven months to say the three magic words (“I love you”) and the average female takes eight months to say the same thing. While you could both say it at the same time, in real life someone has to take off his/her clothes first…and that person is almost always me.
She thinks he’s “an amazing guy.” He calls her “hilarious,” saying “it was definitely not hard to play her love interest” in the upcoming movie Valentine’s Day. But are they together? The two Taylors aren’t telling, at least definitively… Choosing instead to take a play right out of the R-Pattz/K-Stew handbook and play coy with the romance rumors.
What’s up with men who stop calling without an explanation? Find out what’s really going on when a guy takes off.
I could go on with more it-almost-happened incidents I’ve had with women, but I think you get the point. Despite years and years and years of being single (and kinky!), women and I just never happened. For the past six months, I’ve been with a guy whom I want to be my life partner. While the intimacy we have together is worth everything to me, I’m honestly a little disappointed that I never got around to being with a woman
How many men have actually started up a relationship with a woman they met on the street? None that I know of! Yet guys persist with this behavior of trying to “holla” at women on the street. Yelling at women they don’t know with catcalls and whistles, or following females down the street four deep in a car, ogling females with lustful stares and even copping a feel, men accost women on the streets daily. Why do men insist on treating women and girls as young as 10 years old with such callous disrespect?
Some men react angrily with profanity and name calling when their “greetings” are met with a sneer or flatly ignored. Guys just don’t get that women feel vulnerable and are at risk when alone in public; that is not a good time to try to get a positive response if you are a nice guy. Though you may be have no negative intentions, just think of all the freaks and wierdos that came before you! A woman just looking at you has no way to know if you are a freak or a cool guy.
So tonight we’re going to discuss street harassment, male sense of entitlement to get a complete stranger’s time and attention, and the signals women give that men don’t understand, fail to read and/or refuse to accept that indicate a female’s disinterest in you or your conversation.
Learn to understand and respect women’s communication to avoid becoming a problem either to her or yourself.
It’s been revealed in the last couple of decades that it is theoretically possible for men and women to be platonic friends. There is a chance, says society, that a grown guy and lady can hang out and not try to have sex with each other (or secretly hope that it might “happen”). Frankly, this is probably on the woman because allegedly the fairer gender decides within a relatively short period of time if she’ll ever seriously consider doing a guy (the guy, though, likely holds out hope). Pop culture lends that hope (Pam and Jim, Harry and Sally, et cetera), but I digress.

When you’ve really got it bad for someone, it’s tempting to shut off logic and ignore the verbal red flags. But pay attention to the stuff that comes flying out of his mouth.
There are plenty of good reasons to have a man in your life. Sex. Opening pesky pickle jars. Um, sex. But let’s not forget the added bonus of nipping into your guy’s dresser drawers and claiming the loot inside for yourself. Here, 7 dude duds to “borrow” for your fall wardrobe.
We love Joan Holloway. And by default, this means we love Christina Hendricks, the actress who brings her to life. And, at the same time, it also means we can’t help but love the guy she chose to marry today (Sunday, October 11) because he must be pretty darn special to have won her heart. Oh, yeah. Did we mention she got married?
