The Warning Signs That You’re Dating a Loser – Dec 20,2009
Posted by: | CommentsWe’ve all kissed frogs and stood around waiting for him or her to turn into Royalty. Why don’t more singles recognize when the person they are dating is a real loser and not worth the time or energy they’ve put into building a relationship?
Tonight we’ll discuss the warning signs you now know (from life experience and getting your head bumped) indicate that someone isn’t really the right guy or gal for you. Dr. LeslieBeth Wish Ed. D. MSS (loveVictory.Com) joins me to discuss the behaviors and attitudes singles should be watching for to know they are dating a loser vs. a winner! Split: Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal
Posted by: | Comments
Woody Allen once said that a relationship is like a shark. It either has to keep moving forward or else it dies. Turns out the real present underneath the figurative Gyllenspoon tree was a dead shark, and not an engagement ring as widely reported here and on other blogs.

‘The League’ Secretly A TV Show About Love

Fantasy football maybe the premise, but ‘The League’ is really just another FX “moap opera” (man soap opera, that is). We’re not complaining. The TV show gives a pretty fab look at modern relationships.

Tiger’s E-Mail To Rachel Uchitel: Lay Next To Me

Tiger Woods’ mistress #1 Rachel Uchitel won’t stop talking, despite the reported $1 million to $3 million Tiger Woods has paid her not to interact with the press. We’ve got hold of what appears to be an email that Tiger wrote Uchitel on November 9… and not only did he worry about what their relationship was doing to his emotions; he was also put off by Uchitel’s social climbing.

Disappearing: The Kindest Way To Break Up?
Posted by: | Comments
The end is rarely easy. And, God, can it be awkward. Personally, I don’t apply specifics for each gender on how to end a thing (a “thing” being anything that lasts a couple months or seven dates, give or take; ending a “relationship” is a whole other bag of misery). When it comes to the end, whether you’re a man dumping a woman, a woman dumping a man, or a gay dude dumping a gay dude, you want it to be as humane as possible. But which method of ending a “thing” is most humane? Let’s have a look, from least to most kind.

Ever Feel Like Just Another Girlfriend?
Posted by: | Comments
My boyfriend is 10 years older than me. We’re in love and it’s awesome. There are many, many perks to dating a dude who is older, some of which you can read here. But there’s one tiny downfall, at least for me. In his 40 years on earth, my devastatingly handsome boyfriend has had more than his share of girlfriends and has been in love a handful of times. This is probably totally normal and not a cause for, uh, concern for most 30-year-old women, who have likely had many relationships in their lives too. Unfortunately, I haven’t and his vast relationship experience makes me feel like I’m somehow not as special as I’d like to be.

Tiger Woods’ Alleged Mistress Caught Lying
Posted by: | Comments
Just yesterday afternoon, Celeblove reported that Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods’ supposed girl-on-the-side, has denied all rumors that she had a sexual relationship with the pro golfer. The rumors began a couple of weeks ago when The National Enquirer ran a story about the alleged affair…But the Enquirer was ready with proof that Rachel does indeed know at least one of its sources, Ashley Samson, and posted an online report slamming Rachel and revealing her many contradictory statements. Apparently, Rachel and Ashley were close enough to vacation in Spain together, and the Enquirer is publishing an exclusive Web photo the two girls partying on that recent trip.

Why Fibs Can Ruin A Relationship
Posted by: | Comments
In movies and media, a woman’s lies are often something to laugh about. Who can’t think of a wife who hides her shopping sprees or how much she charged on the credit card? We spoke with psychologists who say even the faintest of fibs can lead a relationship down a bad path. Even these little, laughable lies can erode the sense of trust and honesty in the relationship over time.

Can Your Loved Ones Stay Friends With Your Ex?
Posted by: | Comments
When you break up with someone, how do you expect the people in your life to treat your ex? One of my primary concerns when my ex and I broke up was how the breakup was going to affect my relationship with his mom. Even though I hadn’t “done” anything, would she still feel comfortable maintaining contact with me? And even if she did want to remain a part of my life in the months after the breakup, what about when my ex brought home a new girlfriend for her to meet? Would her friendship with me get in the way of her developing a bond with a new, potential daughter-in-law?

Shakira Sings For The Single Ladies
Posted by: | Comments
Even though Shakira has been in a committed relationship for nearly 10 years, she wants all the single (and looking) gals out there to know that she has their backs. In an interview with The Associated Press, the 32-year-old songstress sympathizes with the throngs of chicas out there who haven’t been as lucky as she has when it comes to finding Mr. Right. In fact, she wrote most of She Wolf’s songs to reflect the struggles that single women face looking for love in a time when it seems that “all the good ones are taken.”

How Men Feel When Their Wives Goes Astray
Posted by: | Comments
If you search the Internet, read magazines or go to the movies you'll see dozens, if not hundreds, of stories about how a woman feels when her man has sex with another woman. Yet, you almost never hear similar stories from the male point of view. Men are supposed to be tough, so they often don't talk about how they feel when their partner opens herself up for another man.
That's why we decided to seek out men whose wives had strayed, and find out how they reacted. We’ve gotten a variety of responses we'd like to share with you. Most of them felt hurt and betrayed, and some were upset even when they'd discussed the idea of her having an affair and “cuckolding” him in advance.
Interestingly, when asked what concerned them the most, not one of them said they were worried about accidentally raising another man's baby – even though popular culture would have you believe that is the number one concern. Instead, all of them said the possibility of getting an STD was there biggest concern. Now, we are going to provide you – in their own words – the feelings men went through when they discovered they were not the only one.
“Dan” found out his fiancée was cheating on him when a friend confronted him with the fact. He did some investigating and discovered “she'd been sleeping with about a dozen other guys for the duration of our relationship. “
Dan says he was devastated and couldn't look at her the same way again.
“She'd lied to me constantly. I'd been ready to marry her, and it turned out her true personality was the exact opposite of what I'd thought.”
He also says that he doesn't think he was at fault in any way, shape or form for his girl looking for others.
“It was all her. She'd set out to deliberately deceive me right from the start. She coldly and deliberately lied to me about every aspect of our relationship and presented a completely false persona. I was utterly devastated. I seriously considered suicide, and my weight dropped to under 125 pounds – I'm over six foot tall. It rocked my confidence for years afterward.”
Dan also said he didn't have any reason to think she was cheating before he found out.
“We had a very active sex life, were always very affectionate and rarely argued. She was occasionally secretive, but she'd always been like that.”
“John” had similar feelings when he found out that his wife was cheating on him. In this case, she left her laptop turned on with MSN Messenger still logged in – and his wife's lover came on and wanted to talk to her!
“I'd had suspicions so it wasn't a total shock, but it still left me feeling like I'd been kicked in the guts. I screamed a lot, cried a lot & felt very lethargic.
“It was entirely her fault. If she had a problem with our relationship, then she should have acted like an adult and spoken to me about it.“
John says that the idea that men are hurt less by cheating is a myth.
“It's just that men generally don't talk about it. I wasn't able to just shrug it off and move on no matter how much I tried. It hurt more than words can describe and I was very devastated.”
He does, however, admit that he should have caught on sooner.
“I'd had suspicions so it wasn't a total shock. There were a couple of signs. Her being secretive when online, being distant one minute than overly affectionate the next. I suspected something was going on but ignored it.”
Of course, it's not always a surprise. “Steve” agreed to let his wife have an affair and actually drove her to meet her lover.
“My wife and I got married four years ago, after having been together for about three years prior to that point. Two years ago, she met a guy via World of Warcraft and broached the topic of having an open relationship (in the sense of being able to have a committed SO outside of our marriage, not casual sex). At the time, the guy she was interested in was also married, and living in Utah, so the potential of anything actually resulting from her dating him seemed rather remote.
“So my wife dated him for a while, but it was strictly online and on the phone. He never told his wife about it, and after a few months he started getting more and more distant before breaking it off.
“A few months after that, my wife met another guy (via World of Warcraft again), a younger one who was still in school. He lived much closer to us (only about a five-hour drive), and after they were dating a few months online she arranged to spend a weekend with him in a hotel room. I had to drive her up there to be with him. She has been with that guy for over a year now, and I've driven her up twice to spend weekends with him.”
While Steve thought it would just be a turn on, he was surprised when other emotions entered the mix.
“At first, (I felt) jealousy with a bit of anger. In the time afterward, jealousy with eroticism. Jealousy that she would have sex with him in ways that she wouldn't with me, would let him do things and let him be completely dominant.”
Still, Steve admits that he's happy he's still with his wife and doesn't regret their relationship at all.
“I've had to sort of compartmentalize our relationship. There's my relationship with my wife, and she is lovely and we get along great and I love being with her and having great sex with her. Then there's her relationship with her boyfriend, where she's the horny sub who will do anything he wants. I have to sort of block that part out or push it aside or at least try not to let that part overshadow the main part, that I'm married to and in love with a beautiful, wonderful girl.”
